Summer may be ending soon, but there’s no end to the amount of fun events taking place in Frederick County! This weekend, several festivals celebrating the Frederick area will be available to explore.
Brunswick Community Festival
Aug. 22-23, 4-9 p.m.

This annual festival celebrating the Brunswick community features plenty of family fun activities, like a petting zoo, pony rides, agricultural exhibits and more. If you like baking, test your skill by entering the festival’s baked goods contest! There will also be live music and a kiddie tractor pull on Friday night.

6th Annual Flower Festival
Aug. 23-24, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Summers Farm’s hotly-anticipated flower festival is the perfect time to take a stroll through its fields of sunflowers and zinnias in bloom! It’s a great place to take pictures and enjoy time outside. For an additional $10, guests will be able to purchase a butterfly for the festival’s butterfly release event.

Celebrate Mount Airy

This event brings the Mount Airy community together to enjoy music, food and more from local businesses. Whether you’re a Mount Airy native or you’ve never been there before, this annual festival is a great time to discover the town’s Main Street community. There will be plenty of children’s activities for younger attendees.
