Music and Pride in Frederick County This Weekend

There’s always something to celebrate in Frederick! Check out these two concerts highlighting music from the past and hits from the present, and join in on a community celebration for Transgender Day of Visibility.

The Doo Wop Project

March 28. 8-10 p.m.

This concert is the perfect introduction to Doo Wop music for kids, or you can even leave the kids at home and enjoy a fun night of music for date night. Five Broadway stars from shows like “Jersey Boys” and “Motown: The Musical” perform hits from the era, as well as Doo Wop takes on modern pop hits.

Saturday Morning Tunes: Taylor Swift for Kids

The Eras Tour may be over, but your child can still enjoy a one-of-a-kind Taylor Swift experience at this concert aimed at kids! Come early for a friendship bracelet-making workshop, then enjoy some of the pop diva’s greatest hits performed by local musician Enslow and her band. Bring your dancing shoes!

March 30 is Transgender Day of Visibility, and the Frederick community is celebrating with a free celebration! Stop by The Frederick Center for crafts, face painting, live music and more.
