Youth Fishing Rodeo at Gambrill State Park

April 19, 9 a.m.-noon

Rock Run Area | 8002 Gambrill Park Road, Frederick, MD 21702

Learn to fish and compete to see who can catch the biggest fish at this community competition in which 35 registrants will fish for the largest bass, bluegill or catfish! Tackle will be provided, but bringing your own bait is suggested as there is a limited amount. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Welcome Spring on the Creek: Art & Crafts Show

April 19, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Discover local artists and browse handmade crafts and gifts at this art fair celebrating all things spring! Local vendors will also be providing food and drink for the event. This outdoor fair is pet-friendly and will be held rain or shine.

Rock Skipping Contest

Prospect Park Mt. Airy | 107 Prospect Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771

Bring your best rocks and test your throwing arm at this annual town competition, part of Mt. Airy’s weeklong Love Your Park celebration. Prizes will be awarded in multiple age brackets and categories, such as “longest skip.”
