Star Party at ThorpeWood

Join the TriState Astronomers for their annual stargazing event! There will be a picnic on the farm at 6:30 p.m. followed by the stargazing itself at 7:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to get away from the city and see the sky with professional telescopes. The Sprinkled Cow will be serving ice cream for attendees.

Snallygaster Hunt in Downtown Frederick

Sept. 6, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Passport pick-up at Terra Moda | 218 N Market St., Frederick, MD 21701

Hunt down Maryland’s resident cryptid throughout Downtown Frederick at this family fun event encouraging participants to explore local businesses! Paper snallygasters will be hidden throughout shops and restaurants in the area. Participants can get their passports stamped once they find them for the chance to win prizes.

Wet N Wild Water Day

Sept. 6, 3-8 p.m.

Sophie & Madigan’s Playground | 632 Contender Way, Frederick, MD 21703

Make a splash at this inclusive event at Sophie & Madigan’s Playground! The playground will be temporarily transformed into a water park, complete with water games and slides. Hosts Kotei Kids Shaved Ice will also be serving up sweet treats.
