Many Maryland farms host festivals during autumn, opening their fields to visitors and offering a variety of fun seasonal activities. Families can pick their own apples or pumpkins, go on a hayride around the farm, get up close and personal with barn animals or even get some trick-or-treating done before Halloween. Fall Harvest Days at Weber’s Cider Mill Farm

Weber’s fall season includes Weber’s Fall Harvest Days every day until early November. Take a ride on the barrel train, hillside slide or hayride, or kick back with food and drinks from local food trucks while enjoying live music.

Maryland Corn Maze

Through Nov. 8, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. | Gambrills

The largest farm in Anne Arundel County opens its doors to visitors every fall, hosting one of the biggest corn mazes in the state with a different theme every year. In 2026, farm guests can explore a maze themed after nostalgia and childhood toys and take part in a QR code scavenger hunt. Once you’ve conquered the maze, check out the additional farm activities, such as the farm flyer zip line and petting zoo.

46th Annual Pumpkin Festival

Sept. 19-Nov. 1, 1-6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Germantown

Butler’s Orchard celebrates all things pumpkins during the fall season, offering visitors the opportunity to pick their own pumpkins or fire them out of the pumpkin cannon for an extra fee. You can also enjoy sweet treats like kettle corn, donuts or caramel apples, as well as apple cider for the grown-ups.

Fall Festival at Milburn Orchards

Sept. 19-Nov. 8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Elkton

Milburn Orchards is open every day starting in September, but its Fall Festival takes place on the weekends and features fun attractions like pony rides, a paintball shooting gallery and plenty of local vendors. Visitors can also race on the Milburn 500 racetrack or enjoy some not-so-scary fun in the Boo Barn.

Fall Festival at Summers Farm

Summers Farm is a popular fall destination in Frederick County, with more than 45 different attractions to explore. Its fall festival features live entertainment like musical performances, pig races and fireworks. You can even reserve a campfire if you want to host an event at the festival.
