Maryland’s Best partnered with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to encourage all Marylanders to enjoy fresh, delicious ice cream this summer by following Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail, a network of dairy farms across the state that produce ice cream right on the farm and sell it directly to consumers who visit.
There are over a dozen such dairy farms across the state participating in the Marylan’s Best Ice Cream Trailb promotion. Under the program, Marylanders can download the FREE digital pass online at Maryland’s Best where you can keep track of all the locations visited and earn points. Points can be redeemed for different prizes or saved up to become The Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trailblazer Champion!
The purpose of the Ice Cream Trail is to highlight the important contributions of Maryland’s 495 dairy farms which accounted for $182.7 million in sales in 2010; and to increase the public’s general understanding of dairy farming by encouraging them to visit a farm and see what dairy farming is really like, all while enjoying locally produced ice cream.
