Fallfest at Catoctin Furnace

Oct. 10-11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Welcome the autumn season with fun themed activities at Catoctin Furnace. Take relaxing hikes on the nearby trails, tour the museum and watch interesting demonstrations in blacksmithing and making apple butter. You can even take some of your own home!

Catoctin Colorfest

Oct. 11-12, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

One of the largest craft shows on the East Coast, Catoctin Colorfest is a great opportunity to explore everything Frederick County has to offer. With a large assortment of crafts to peruse and buy, artist demonstrations to see and food to try, there’s more than enough to keep your family engaged!

The Moon Festival

Oct. 12, 4-7 p.m.

Carroll Creek Linear Park | 50 Carroll Creek Way, Frederick, MD 21701

The beginning of October is the Mid-Autumn Festival, a popular Chinese harvest holiday. Learn more about the tradition and celebrate with some delicious mooncakes and fun live performances at this event hosted by the Asian American Center of Frederick.
