As October transitions into November, a familiar face will soon be making his debut for the season. Whether you know him by Santa Claus, Kris Kringle, St. Nicholas or another name, the man in the red suit is here to bring cheer to all who believe in him.

Here are just a few places to catch a glimpse of Santa in Frederick County this November and December:

Meet Santa at Westview Promenade

Nov. 16, 3-6 p.m.
Kick off the holiday season with an early celebration in November. Frederick’s Westview Promenade is hosting Santa for a visit and will have craft stations, Mid Maryland dancers and holiday music for families to enjoy, along with a tree lighting. Maryland Christmas Show

Nov. 22-24, Nov. 29 & 30 and Dec. 1
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday
Returning for its 41st season, the Maryland Christmas Show in Frederick City offers a wide array of handiwork from different merchants each weekend so families can get their shopping done early and prep for the holidays with seasonal decor. Come to the Frederick County Fairgrounds to meet Santa and get into the holiday spirit!

S’mores with Santa

Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 & 20, 4-8:45 p.m.
Register your family (10 people or fewer) for their own fire pit at Utica District Park, where they can enjoy a s’mores and hot cocoa bar. Santa will be ready to share s’mores with guests, greet children and hear Christmas wish lists. Space is limited. Register at recreater.com.

Note: Frederick County Parks & Recreation also has a sensory friendly visit with Santa at Rock Creek Rec Center on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Christmas on the Farm

Dec. 7, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch in Middletown trades fall festivities for a Christmas celebration in December. Last year’s holiday fun featured craft vendors with handmade gifts and holiday decor, sweets, festive activities and, of course, photos with Santa! Christmas in New Market

Dec. 7, 1 p.m.
Christmas cheer abounds in New Market. See if you can spot Santa in the procession from New Market Elementary to Prospect Street at 1 p.m., followed by a town Christmas market in New Market Park from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with small bites and drinks for purchase from local businesses, crafts, a live nativity scene, face painting, balloon animals, live music and a DJ. Families can welcome Mr. Claus and grab a photo with him between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Green Valley Therapy before heading back to the park for a tree lighting ceremony with caroling at 4:30 p.m.| newmarketmdevents.com

Kris Kringle Procession

Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m.
Join Frederick families for a parade beginning at the corner of South Carroll and East Patrick streets and ending at Baker Park with the lighting of the City Tree. Santa will be accompanied by helpers that reflect Frederick’s German heritage, such as Weinacht Man, who helps Santa judge whether children have been bad or good! The evening will close with carols and special messages from favorites including Kris Kringle and the Snow Queen. celebratefrederick.com
